What is a Tribute Artist?

A Tribute Artist, tribute act, tribute band or tribute group is a singer, musician or music group who specifically performs the music of a well known music act. Tribute Acts may include individual performers who mimic the songs and style of an artist as a celebration of, or a salute to, that musical person’s career in entertainment. An Elvis Tribute Artist (ETA) is a Tribute Artist specifically performing the music and style of Elvis.

An Impersonator / Celebrity Look-A-Like is an individual person who literally pretends to be someone else for entertainment purposes usually identifying themselves as the actual person they are impersonating / or looking like.

What are the Judging Criteria for the competition?

There are five (5) sets of judging criteria for the competition

Criteria

  1. 20% – Vocal Ability (singing Tribute Artists ONLY)
  2. 20% – Performance (or 40% for non-singing Tribute Artists)
  3. 20% – Stage Presence and Showmanship
  4. 20% – Appearance
  5. 20% – Overall Tribute and Authenticity to the Artist they are performing

Scores are out of 100

The top overall highest scoring competitors will receive a cash prize and a World Tribute Artists Championships award as well as an opportunity to, perform in the Legendary Show in 2021 in Toronto, as a paid performer, which will be produced by the world famous producer John Stuart of Legends in Concert. This is an extraordinary opportunity for all.

Judges are all professionals from the entertainment industry and are committed to confidentiality.

Disqualification

Please Note: All Competition Judges’ decisions are FINAL. There will be absolutely no speaking, discussing, socializing or consulting with any Competition Judge before during or after the competition.

Any Breach of this condition may result disqualification.
